An Italian 18k gold-mounted brooch from the fourth quarter of the 20th century incorporating ancient elements, comprising a Roman AE3 coin of Arcadius (383-408), reverse Virtvs Ecerciti with the Emperor crowned by Victory, Constantinople mint, mounted in a gold frame with bail and suspended from a Roman 4th/5th-century bronze buckle decorated with gold twisted-wire scrolls and centered by a cabochon garnet, measuring 2-3/8 x 1-1/8 in and with a gross weight of 2.40 g.Condition
