Vintage 18k yellow gold Egyptian revival style scarab choker. Stamped 18k three times in Egyptian hieroglyphs and includes a date mark hieroglyph. Features polished inlaid natural lapis lazuli on the top, inspired by the design of Egyptian Pharaoh Tutankhamun’s scarab. The scarab is a recreation of a 3300-year-old gold scarab from the bracelets worn by King Tut’s mummy, now located in the Egyptian Museum. The scarab, modeled after the Egyptian dung beetle, symbolizes rebirth, resurrection, and protection for the deceased and the living. Comes with box. Gross weight 205.1 g.
