ANTIQUE FRENCH 18K YELLOW GOLD AND ENAMEL BROOCH, round form with an openwork floral and scrolled edge, framing an enameled and hand-painted center, featuring a portrait of a girl or young woman wearing a puffy-sleeved bodice and a headband set with a melee diamond at her ear, backed by mother of pearl and having a pin fastener with hook clasp. Pin and clasp with a French Mercury head export hallmark, clasp also impressed with a maker's mark possibly being "F [sword] D", tested as 18K gold fineness. Total weight including non-gold components: 5.9 grams. 19th century. 1" D, pin 1 1/8" W.Condition
