Description

Two Egyptian high karat gold pendants: one cartouche and one scarab. The cartouche pendant is of linear form, featuring hieroglyphics of a bird, hand, feathers, and lion (possibly translating to the name "Adele") along with an ankh, the Egyptian symbol of life. Marked in Arabic on the reverse. The scarab pendant consists of a gold placard inscribed with hieroglyphics on the reverse, with a round reeded bale. The scarab itself is affixed to the placard, with the head and legs crafted in gold and the body composed of lapis lazuli. Marked in Arabic along the edge of the scarab. Both pendants are tested as high karat gold. Chain for photography purposes only, not included in the lot. Dimensions for Cartouche: Length: 47.80 mm, Width: 10.27 mm, Depth: 4.87 mm; Dimensions for Scarab: Length: 27.09 mm, Width: 16.53 mm, Depth: 9.20 mm.
