A mid-19th-century gold micromosaic brooch featuring a central oval micromosaic depicting a bouquet of roses, forget-me-nots, periwinkles and peonies, within a finely modeled gold mount decorated with leaves, tendrils and scrolls, enhanced by twisted knife-wire and rope-twist details. The reverse features a glazed compartment. The brooch has a base metal fitting and a base metal backing plate for the mosaic. Length 4.5 cm, gross weight approximately 22.00 g.Condition
