Description

South Sea pearl necklace strung knotted with forty-nine (49) white near-round South Sea cultured pearls measuring 10.0 mm to 14.5 mm, with gold rondelle beads set with single cut diamonds weighing approximately 0.38 total carat (H–I color, I1–I2 clarity) and round gold beads, completed with a gold clasp in the form of a dragon set with single cut diamonds weighing approximately 0.16 total carat (H–I color, I1–I2 clarity) and marquise cut and round cut emeralds, affixed to a mabé pearl (16 mm) with a single cut diamond surround weighing approximately 0.20 total carat (H–I color, I1–I2 clarity); the necklace suspending a gold pendant/brooch centered on a carved jadeite jade tablet with foliate and avian motifs, set within a gold reticulated surround and further within a surround set with full cut round and straight and tapered baguette cut diamonds weighing approximately 3.12 total carats (F–G color, SI1–SI2 clarity), completed with a hinged bail with figure-eight safety and a locking pin stem; the clasp stamped 14K 585 and the pendant bail stamped 18K 750; accompanied by a GIA report stating jadeite jade type A with no indications of dye or impregnation, known as “Fei Cui,” with origin Burma (Myanmar); necklace length 28.5 in; pendant 2 × 1 1/8 in; gross weight 156.92 g; pearls display a white bodycolor with rose overtones and orient, good luster, moderately spotted surface and acceptable nacre thickness.
