A Cartier multistrand necklace featuring thirteen strands of pearls and ruby beads, accented with a platinum clasp set with diamonds and ruby beads. The pearls measure approximately 2.2 mm, are whitish with a rose orient to slightly creamy color, and vary in shape from round to slightly out-of-round, oval, and barrel-shaped. They display good luster and are cleanish. The ruby beads measure approximately 2.8 mm, are bright medium slightly pinkish raspberry in color, cleanish to slightly included, and vary from round to slightly out-of-round, with some appearing fat donut-shaped. The clasp is made of platinum and is adorned with 8 old European and single-cut diamonds and 4 ruby beads. The necklace is signed "Cartier Mtg." with number 54-54722, and it was created circa 1920. The total length of the necklace is 16 3/8 inches.Condition
