Tiffany & Co. circa 1925 platinum brooch centering a cushion-shaped double cabochon star ruby weighing 2.37 ct, set throughout with old European and single-cut diamonds totaling 2.15 ct of F-I color and VS clarity; the red ruby measures 8.0 x 6.4 x 4.7 mm, is moderately to heavily included and displays weak asterism. GIA Ruby Origin Report 5151069501 dated December 3, 2012 states the ruby is natural corundum of Star Ruby variety, Burmese (Myanmar) origin, with no indications of heating (NTE); partially signed Tiffany & Co., measures 1 1/2 x 5/8 in, gross weight 8.70 g; metal stamped and tested with XRF for platinum, pin back tested for 18k gold.Condition
