Belle ÉpoqueDescription
A Belle Époque brooch crafted in platinum, featuring an oval color-change violet-blue sapphire weighing approximately 9.80 carats. The color-change sapphire shifts from vivid violet-blue to pinkish purple, with a strong degree of color-change (70-80%) and very good quality. The sapphire has good color concentration, is slightly included, with some banding across the table, and includes several small crystal inclusions and a larger inclusion to the side. The brooch also includes 2 triangle-shaped deep blue sapphires, which are slightly included and lively, along with 70 old European and single-cut diamonds totaling approximately 2.05 carats as well as rose-cut diamonds. The piece is from circa 1910, measuring 1 5/8" in length and 7/8" in width. Accompanied by an AGL report number 1142919, confirming the Ceylon (Sri Lanka) origin of the sapphire, with no evidence of heat enhancement.Condition
