Description

Lot of two sterling silver and brass pendant necklaces from Taxco, Mexico, each featuring a mask-form pendant. The first necklace has a sterling silver central pendant with a green hardstone mask and beaded drops, set in a partial malachite-tiled surround, hallmarked "TC-110 Mexico 925." The pendant is on a rope chain, marked "sterling" at the spring ring clasp, measuring approximately 24 inches in length, with a pendant size of 3 inches in height and 1.25 inches in width. The second necklace features a carved black stone mask in an openwork star surround, with scroll motifs and teardrop-shaped drops, on a bar link chain, pendant marked "Mexico" to the reverse, with a chain length of approximately 28 inches and a pendant size of 3.5 inches in height and 2 1/8 inches in width. The total gross weight of both necklaces is 99.2 g.
